June Journies

It has been a busy month in June with lots of things happening out and about. I really enjoyed going to an “Are you prepared” workshop that talked about what we can do in emergencies like an Earthquake or a Flood. It was an exciting talk, especially because I know we have had events like that previously. I liked that they handed out backpacks at the end of the day as “go bags” to keep packed by the door in severe weather. I also love going to the Historic Village and helping out by tidying there.  I did some awesome sweeping on the pathway, making sure to get all the dust off the awesome painted pathway. It can be a bit tiring, but I was really shocked when we were rewarded a couple of weeks later with a clay cup making session!  The clay was a bit wet and gloopy but I was brave and made it into a super cool cup with nice straight sides.
